So in 2008 Paramore were on the verge of a break up.
The lead singer and guitarist had just split up from a long term relationship,
and tensions were high within the band.
Two years and a platinum selling new album later and Paramore appear to be top of the world.
Selling out o2 arena, while the on stage chemistry between the members appears to be growing stronger compared to the awkward stage presence witnessed just one year earlier.
Some would say that Paramore are at the top of their game,
conquering the world, and creating a high status within rock and mainstream charts.
But it appears that not all is how it seems.
Yesterday a statement was released confirming the exit of two members from the band (Josh and Zac Farro) due to their unhappiness within the band.
Now a year ago i wouldn't have been quite so surprised by this, but the timing appears to be completely wrong, last night the twitterverse was in distress with hearing the news, some sharing the happiness they've experienced over the years they followed the band, whilst others expressing what they will miss about the brothers; "No more "hey Josh", no more pressure flip, no more screamo, no more "1, 2, 3, 4" on misguided ghosts, no more Zac Farro & Josh Farro :'("
"Fans" are stating that the band won't ever be the same again, and that they don't see a point in Paramore carrying on. But why shouldn't they carry on? The fans at the time stuck by them when Jeremy left first time round, so why shouldn't we stick by them now? Because there's more than one leaving? Because they're better known now?
True fans will stick by them no matter what.
I myself am so pleased to have seen the boys twice before their departure,
and despite my sadness, i am looking forward to seeing what the future of the band entails.
I wish Josh and Zac all the best in the future, and hope they find happiness in whatever their future holds.
