Music makes the world go round..

Music for me...it is everything.
I like how one song, can just change everything.
I like that i can be walking down the street and a song like "Nine in the Afternoon" can give me this instinctive need to smile. Or "There For You" by Flyleaf can reduce me to tears with sheer memories.
Or lyrics such as "i am not afraid to keep on living, i am not afraid to walk this world alone" can have such a powerful meaning to a persons life, so much so that just by singing those words a wave of strength just surrounds their being.
Words are powerful, they are a way of taking your emotions and planting them into another persons mind,
giving them a strong understanding of what you are trying to communicate. Lyrics can be analysed, and picked apart so much that each person has a biased opinion of every line from every song, every person can find some way to relate these words to their own life, to help them communicate what they are feeling to others.
And the way the song is sung, the raw emotion in a singers voice, and the pace and strength of the music will take the listener so deep into the artists emotions that they can see and feel everything that is supposed to be felt in that moment.
Every emotion i have ever felt, can be explained by lyrics, or by a piece of music. Not even specifically by using lyrics. The piece "Clair de lune" by Debussy shows a calm, atmospherical vibe, but also you can hear a twinge of sadness, you can feel a raw creation of something new which perhaps goes deeper than the music itself, a piece of music such as that can bring such intense powerful emotions. It is almost as if you can see Debussy creating this masterpiece, every pause in the music is like a pause in his stem of thought, as it continues the higher notes appear as a climax of the song, a climax in this emotional pathway, and then the story ends and midway through another begins, with a beautiful short range of notes played softly as if to show the calm aftermath of a strong emotion, which is shown with the strong, sharp tones of the high notes followed by the soft tones of the latter notes. And by the end of the piece, you feel that within those 4 minutes, you've followed a journey, one that has made you stop in your tracks and just feel what the music is saying, feel the emotion within those notes. That is what music is about, that is what defines a person, those moments that stop a person and make them really think about life, about matters, this is why i am so drawn to everything musical.
Every song gives us a meaning.
Every gig gives us a place to belong, one night to share utter ecstacy with complete strangers.
Every musician gives us a voice.
Music is everything to me.
In the words of Don Mclean - "I saw satan laughing with delight. The day the music died." - Life would be living hell without music..
